I am looking for any information concerning my uncle, Adolphe Noa, born in Berlin, Germany on 27 November 1914.
He crossed over to London in June or July 1940 to join Free French Forces there. Point of departure: Metropole.
Military unit: Terre 1 re DFL/BM 12.
While a member of French Forces, he fought under the nom de guerre of Rene Laurent (?). I do know that he was receiving mail as of March 4, 1942 at Fort Lamy, Free French Africa.
In the 1970's he lived in military housing for retired soldiers in Trier.
He died in the South of France, while living in a military hospital, in the 1990's.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.Information on Fort Lamy, his military units and where they were stationed and/or where they fought.
